Ahh… Prince of Persia! One of the movies that I’ve been dying to watch this year, not that I’m a fan of the game (I’ve never actually played it), but there’s just something about Jake Gyllenhaal that makes me wanna watch Prince of Persia. Whoever the PR people for the movie is, I think they did a good job at publicizing the movie, or maybe just Jake Gyllenhaal.
At times when people hesitated whether or not Jake Gyllenhaal fits the role, there was constant news on his relationship with Reese Witherspoon, making him even more noticeable than he was before and everyone started to realize how gorgeous (and hot) he is. Then there was the tragic incident where she dumped him after the movie was wrapped up which left the whole world (or just girls) feeling sad and sorry for him. The emotional attachment that they have towards Jake Gyllenhall is one of the factors (his undeniably good looks being another) that will attract crowds to watch the movie.
It’s how the movie’s PR squad tackled Jake Gyllenhaal’s highly publicized relationship and break up with Reese Witherspoon that led to the anticipation of Prince of Persia. Good PR! Don’t you think?
Anyways, it releases tomorrow, but I don’t think I’ll be able to watch it tomorrow though =(
